This page covers three things separately: the MailRelic application on your computer, this website, and the Lemon Squeezy checkout used to buy MailRelic Personal.

The MailRelic application
Your email archive
MailRelic reads PST files on your computer. It does not upload the PST file, its messages, its attachments, its file name or its folder names anywhere. It opens the file read-only and does not change it. Exports and saved attachments are written only to folders you choose.
Images inside email that would load from the internet are blocked, so opening a message does not contact the sender's servers.
Files MailRelic keeps on your computer
- Search index. While an archive is open, MailRelic keeps an index of it, including message text, in your Windows user profile so that search works. It is deleted when you close the archive or quit. If the application stops unexpectedly, the index is deleted the next time it starts.
- Settings. A random installation identifier and a count of how many times the application has started. They stay on your computer.
- Licence. On a computer where MailRelic Personal is activated, the licence is stored in your Windows user profile, protected with Windows data protection (DPAPI).
When the application connects to the internet
MailRelic connects to the internet only for MailRelic Personal licences, and only to
Lemon Squeezy's licence service at api.lemonsqueezy.com:

No archive content, file names, folder names or search terms are ever sent. Without a licence, none of these connections are made.
MailRelic does not send usage statistics and does not check for updates. It displays its interface with Microsoft Edge WebView2, a Windows component that Microsoft updates separately from MailRelic. If WebView2 is not installed, the MailRelic installer downloads it from Microsoft.
This website
mailrelic.com is a static website. Its pages do not contain analytics or advertising trackers and do not set cookies themselves. Like any website, it is delivered by a hosting service, which processes technical request data such as IP addresses in order to deliver the pages. This section applies to the website only, not to the MailRelic application.
When you use a purchase button, the site loads a script from Lemon Squeezy to show the checkout. From that point, Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy applies to what happens in the checkout.
Buying MailRelic Personal
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects the payment details, handles tax, and issues the receipt and licence key. MailRelic never receives your card details.
Lemon Squeezy shares order information with MailRelic, such as your name, email address and what you bought.
